To celebrate the 30th anniversary of my company I am organizing a surprise workshop on September 20 and 27. Ofcourse it will be something related to miniature books……..It will take place in the EHBO building, Kerkebuurt 169 in Berkhout. Ample parking is available. U will be picked up from the Hoorn train station if you come by public transport. Costs € 30,- including lunch and materials.

Students will make a lovely stationary, with a leather cover and marbled paper of their choice. On one side the writing pad and on the other side a compartment which holds envelopes and mail already received. Of course the stamps with serrated edges and different sizes envelopes will be made. Because of luggage restrictions please bring your own hobby knife (xcato) and cutting mat with you. To make perfect serrated edges on the stamps a work-light, magnifier or strong reading glasses are recommended.
The costs are $95.

De Guild School is held every June at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine.

It is an intensive week-long learning experience offering a wide variety of courses taught by exceptionally talented Artisans and Fellows of the Guild.

This year I will be teachting two workshops A 24-hour workshop in miniature bookbinding, embossing, and gilding. The second 24-hour workshop will feature the Alice in Wonderland pop-up book.

Together on a fantastic location, and being part of the group of enthusiastic miniaturists makes it an exceptional experience.
